Modern Farmhouse Residence | 2,718 Sq. Ft. | Residential Project
The Velazquez Residence was designed as a grounded, contemporary home rooted in regional character and practical living. The architectural approach emphasizes clean massing, material contrast, and a carefully organized floor plan that prioritizes comfort and clarity.
Spatial Organization
The residence spans approximately 2,718 square feet, arranged in a split-bedroom configuration to enhance privacy. The primary suite occupies a dedicated wing, complete with dual closets and a generously proportioned bath. The central living area functions as the heart of the home. Living, dining, and kitchen spaces are aligned in an open configuration, reinforced by arched interior openings that subtly define transitions without interrupting flow. A mudroom and laundry area provide functional separation between the garage and main living spaces, supporting daily routines with intention.
Design Expressions
The exterior composition is defined by layered rooflines and varied plate heights, creating depth and visual rhythm across the façade. A combination of three-coat stucco and stone veneer introduces texture while maintaining a restrained material palette. Litecon cladding enhances thermal performance, while stamped concrete at the porch and patio extends the architectural language outdoors. The result is a residence that feels substantial yet approachable, contemporary in execution, regional in character.
Designed for Living
Window seats, covered outdoor areas, and carefully proportioned openings reinforce natural light and livability throughout the home. Each space was designed to feel deliberate, functional, and connected.
